Strev allows you to view documents from different locations depending on how they are stored or created.
Option 1: View from Documents List
Use this for documents created within the platform.
Steps:
- Go to Documents → Create
- Scroll to the List of Documents
- Locate the document you want to view
- Click on the document name
The document will open in the editor based on your access level (view, review, or edit).
Option 2: View from Smart Repository
Use this for files stored in the repository.
Steps:
- Go to Documents → Smart Repository
- Locate the file
- Right-click on the file
- Select Open
The file will open in a read-only preview panel, allowing you to:
- View the document content
- See file details (name, size, date added, etc.)
- Review metadata and attachments (if available)
Viewing vs Editing
- Open (from Smart Repository) → Read-only preview
- Create Document → Opens the file in the editor for editing
Using Quick Access
On the left panel, you can quickly locate documents:
- Your Documents – Files you created
- Shared with me – Files shared by others
- Smart Repository – Stored files
- Templates – Reusable formats
Tips
- Use Open when you only need to quickly review a file
- Use Create Document when you need to edit the file
- Check the Details panel on the right for file information
- Use the search bar to quickly locate files in large repositories
